Maple Creek Golf and Country Club: The Best Kept Secret in Indianapolis |

|
Designed and constructed in 1961 by legendary architect Pete Dye, Maple Creek Golf & Country Club is Indianapolis' best kept secret. It was Dye's first 18-hole course, and the genesis of his illustrious career. The Maple Creek golf course provides an enjoyable and challenging experience for players of all levels. It offers very long and narrow fairways, surrounded by mature trees, natural long grass areas and multiple sand and water hazards. The course provides undulating greens with strategic pin placements changed daily. Fall of 2008 saw several new course projects begin. We continue to make upgrades and improvements to the course, all with the approval of our original designer. We have completely moved two tee boxes, regarded another, planted and replaced several dozen trees, and are expanding our driving range facilities. All will be completed in time for that first gorgeous early spring day! The Premier Golf Memberships at Maple Creek are an incredible value. We offer a friendly, inviting country club atmosphere, without the expected cost. As a golf member you will receive unlimited golf and range access, locker facilities, access to private dining areas, as well as social events, an extensive and fully-stocked pro shop and the opportunity to enjoy our swimming pool all summer long. You also have options for golf lessons with our Head Golf Professional, Jim Grossi, bag storage, a cart package and more.
All male golf members are automatically entered in our Men's Club, which hosts more than 20 members-only tournaments throughout the season, as well as an annual three-day member-guest tournament that is second to none. The friendships and camaraderie are invaluable, ranging from returning members who have stayed with Maple Creek for several decades and generations, to numerous new members each year. Our newly renovated facilities give individuals exceptional private club amenities. Our dining room and player's lounge provides golfers with the perfect place to relax and unwind after their round. Our brand new Champion's Room houses an inviting fireplace, an ideal venue to gather and retell your latest tales of golf heroics. Maple Creek also added an enclosed outdoor pavilion in 2007, with facilities capable of seating up to 225 people and ample dance floor space. It includes a fully-stocked bar, ceiling fans and speaker system, perfect for wedding receptions, outings, graduation or anniversary parties, class reunions and proms. We provide all catering and bar needs, as well as provide information for florists and music options.
Friday night is our fine dining menu, featuring steaks, seafood and pasta, along with weekly specials. This has become a Maple Creek tradition that enables our members to enjoy a nice meal out while feeling like they're still at home or with family and friends. Our Thursday "To Go" meals were created to offer families a healthy option for a quick meal. Let us do your cooking one night during your hectic week, with favorites like fried chicken, pork loin and country fried steak. The meals include several side dishes and comfortably feed a family of four, all at an exceptional price. Finally, for both Golf and Social members, Maple Creek offers an exciting social calendar with several events each month . These include brunches for Mother's Day and Easter, martini and margarita parties, Euchre and Texas Hold 'Em tournaments, Girls' Night Out, a summer luau and fall Oktoberfest. We also offer March Madness and Sunday Colts' parties on our large plasma TV's in our Player's Lounge. We also host a number of wine tasting dinners throughout the year, pairing both local and national wineries with a carefully selected five- or six-course meal. In 2008, we began to offer Murder Mystery dinners featuring our own members as the cast. Maple Creek also gives back to the East Side community, building partnerships with Warren Central High School, the Eastside Business Association, nearby churches and more. We organize canned food drives, give holiday gift trees and make various donations to schools and non-profit organizations.
In 2008, we began a new tradition with the Pete Dye Charity Golf Outing, benefiting Riley Children's Hospital, which raised more than $20,000. The event featured a field of more than 70 players, local celebrities, fabulous prizes and meals, impressive silent and live auctions and a visit from Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard. We are hoping to surpass our efforts this year with even more golfer participation and community involvement.
