When the hassles and pressures of the day-to-day grind require a therapeutic break to the finer things in life,  one Central Indiana resort has just the plan for the perfect Retreat.

Located adjacent to the Brown County State Park in the qaint town of Nashville, the Salt Creek Golf Retreat  offers the perfect mix of recreation, luxury, ambiance and tranquility. At Salt Creek, championship golf, luxurious  accommodations, exquisite dining and relaxing surroundings have merged to create one of Indiana’s finest golf  resorts.

At the heart of The Retreat is a classik 18-hole championship golf course. Originally crafted in 1991, the Salt Creek Golf Course winds through the scenic hills and gorgeous ravines of Brown County. Seven times the layout crosses Salt Creek, which, along with strategically placed sand traps  and pristine lakes, provide both the character and challenges of this popular layout. Despite these stern challenges, which can test even the best golfers, at only 6,308 yards from the back tees, the par-71 Salt Creek can accommodate any level of player. The bentgrass fairways, tees and   bunkers are always in the best condition and The Retreat’s friendly staff are on hand and ready to ensure a great golf experience.

The course also features two PGA golf professionals, Ben and Tony VanNess, who are always onsite and  available for private and group instruction. Though the headline of Salt Creek Golf Retreat, the golf facilities are only part of the story at this acclaimed resort.

The Retreat has recently upgraded its accommodations to include the Overlook Lodge. These luxurious condominiums are fully furnished with all  appliances, a fireplace, full kitchen and a large deck overlooking the golf course. Each of Overlook Lodge’s 36 units can provide lodging for one to  four golfers and can be rented nightly, weekly or for extended stays.

In addition to the accommodations, guests have full use of the resort’s swimming pool, hot tub and complete health spa and exercise room.

When away from the course and out for the night, The Salt Creek Golf Resort offers exquisite dining options at the acclaimed Overlook  Restaurant. Located in the main lodge, the Overlook Restaurant offers casual upscale dining at its finest. Led by Executive Chef Wayne Hawrys,  the restaurant serves a variety of dishes including fresh seafood to mouth-watering steaks. For the discriminating pallet, the restaurant offers an  extensive wine list and a full variety of drink specials, which include martinis, margaritas and coffee drinks. On Thursdays throughout the year,  ll  wine is half priced with the purchase of an entrée.

Golf Club of Indiana - Zionville, IN

is worthy of the attention it has received. With its gently rolling terrain, large undulating greens, and many mature trees The Golf Club of Indiana is a beautiful place to play. And water on 15 holes, 72 bunkers (same as par) and championship tees of more than 7,000 yards make the course as challenging as it is appealing.
