The Lafayette Country Club consists of two exceptional golfing facilities, the 9 hole, private course (opened in 1909) is located on South 9th Street in downtown Lafayette. The Battle Ground Golf Club, an 18 hole, semi-private course (opened in 1967) is located 2 miles North of Battle Ground on Pretty Prairie Road.
Architect, Tim Liddy redesigned the Battle Ground Golf Club in 2000. New Tee Stations, Bent Grass Fairways, altered "green complex" approaches, and waste bunkers were added to give the golf course a look of a "links style" course. The golf course is unique in that there are no cart paths featured on the course.
The downtown facilities also include tennis courts, full size swimming pool, and full service clubhouse. Battle Ground features a full service snack bar that seats 100, bent grass driving range, complete locker room,and short game practice area. Both are excellent venues for golf outings.
